We recently removed this massive 57-inch DBH willow tree. The tree was growing over hydro lines and contained a hollow raccoon den with two visible openings. It also had significant decay at the base, with nearly half of the trunk rotted, and it was leaning toward the roadside.
Due to its size, condition, and location, this was a challenging removal. We climbed the tree, dismantled it in sections, and carefully brought the wood down in a controlled manner. The remaining trunk was then safely felled in the intended direction.
One of the best parts of the job was meeting the curious neighbours who stopped by to watch the process. Several people came over to inspect the huge stump and the massive trunk sections after the tree was down. One young boy was especially impressed and couldn’t stop saying, “Wow!” while watching the work.
